FEDSOMP- Supporting Center Staff

It is important to support staff by providing them with the information and resources they need to understand the importance of developmental screening and ongoing monitoring that is being integrated into the center’s practices.

Research shows that when developmental monitoring with “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” is paired with a developmental screener such as ASQ-3® and ASQ:SE-2® that parents’ and providers’ understanding of healthy child development and supportive services available to families in the community improve child outcomes.

“Children are more likely to receive services if a concern is identified within service delivery models that routinely and actively solicit input from families.”¹
